Here's the view into the kitchen before and after wall removal. We removed the somewhat complex wood floor install on the curved "step." You can see the almost humorously rinky-dink gas line setup for the fireplace; that got pulled and the fireplaces now work as God intended (i.e. throw something in there and set it on fire).
